Romeo & Juliet Act 3 Scene 3

Time: Monday Evening

Location: Friar Lawernce’s Cell

Characters: Romeo, Nurse, Friar Lawernce

Events: Romeo and Friar Lawernce discuss Romeos banishment and try to find a way to help him. They hear someone knocking on the door so Romeo hides and Friar Lawernce opens the door but finds out that it was just the Nurse looking for Romeo. Romeo says that he would rather commit suicide than be banished because he thinks death is compared the same as banishment and also he thinks that there is no world outside Verona walls “but purgatory torture, hell itself”.  Which means he only loves Verona as he only loves Juliet.
